ABOUT VINEYARD
When looking for a church to call home, we believe it is important to look at the beliefs of the church, what a church values, and what the priorities are of that particular church. On this page, wed like to share with you some of where we are headed, what we value, our priorities, our beliefs, our staff, and also some information about Vineyard churches as a movement around the world.

OUR HISTORY
In May of 2000 Jerry and Christy Shannon, who were pastoring a Vineyard church in Canada, sensed God leading them to move back to the Pennsylvania and start a church in Lancaster County. Although there are many churches in the county, they sensed God saying that He wanted to use them in starting another church – one that looked somewhat different. The church He wanted built would be a place for those who are not currently connected in a church and especially for those who did not have relationship with Him. This church was to be a relevant place where people could be real and could encounter the real God and experience real life through relationship with Jesus. In February 2002, the Shannons moved to Lancaster County and started their first small group in their home in March 2002. The Lancaster Vineyard held 3 sneak peek services in Fall 2002 and started having a weekly Sunday evening worship gathering in February 2003. The Lancaster Vineyard started a Sunday morning worship gathering in September 2003. Lancaster Vineyard continues to meet for their worship gathering every Sunday morning at 10:30 am at Schreiber Pediatric Center (625 Community Way, Lancaster). Lancaster Vineyard also holds a Sunday Evening Worship and Prayer service the 4th Sunday evening of the month at 6:30 pm (also at Schreiber Pediatric Center). “It has been an exciting ride so far,” Jerry said. “God has done amazing things in and through our community. We have seen people’s lives changed by Jesus and it is exciting. We look forward to all that God has in store for the Lancaster Vineyard!”
